I carry a Glock 19(9mm) and love it. I too carry concealed in a Crossbreed Supertuck inside waistband holster and it hides very easily and comfortably. I also own multiple other firearms chambered in multiple calibers, but feel 9mm is the way to go for a primary carry weapon. Because of more controllable muzzle flip, and the ability to get more rounds on target, faster. It is a no brainer to me.... My G19 has served me well for 2100 rounds and counting. No malfunctions of any kind.

I was hoping for a spirited 9mm vs .40 vs .45 vs 10mm discussion

I have a permit to carry, and i do carry it sometimes, but we are not allowed to carry at work so i just refuse to go certain places at certain times of the day. I haven't been in a situation where i felt threatened yet but have been in some interesting homes that raised my nerves a little. Even if i could carry at work i don't know if i would. there really isn't any real bad parts of town that i'm required to go to. In reguards to the weapon, I carry a s&w mp45. It's heavy but i shoot well with it. All my cousins are law enforcement officers and all but one carry 9mm for ease of use. If i did it all over i would probably go with a 9mm, holds more bullets, and very little recoil/muzzle lift, so probably more acurrate for someone who doesn't shoot a lot. thats just my opinion though.

Yea, I had a guy commit suicide in a house I was working in a couple of years ago. Lady opens the door and lets me in, I'm standing in the hallway checking the thermostat, and he shoots himself in the mouth in the room next to me. You just never know what is going to happen on the jobs you go on. I feel it's better to be able to defend yourself if the need arises.
