Please tell me I am going crazy. Tell me this isn't real. Aside the fact that it really doesn't look that great but it has a 3 ton condensing unit, 2 1/2 ton evaporator coil, and a furnace moving 4 tons of air.

Hold on to your pants. That wasn't the worst part. I did a load calc because the original complaint is that it does not cool at all.
Heat gain - 113,704 btu's
Heat loss - 87,162 btu's
System is less than 1 year old.

Don't tell the original installer what the heat gain is. They might try to put a couple more systems on this poor little furnace!

What a mess
You know the more I look at this stuff the more I think everybody in our trade that runs up on installs or hacks jobs should do what we are required by law. Contact the local inspector and have him shut it down as he is suppose to do. Our main job is to protect the public, right ? If we see something and don't do anything it comes back on us as negligence on our part. I can believe that someone who is to cheap to have it done right and pay the price would also sue me. Maybe that is not the case hear and I don't mean to rant, just get tired of it sometimes.

Maybe those are non-combustible baskets.
