    The last time I did them I injected them with melted butter sage an tarragon that I ran thru the blender first.

    I always add spices to the beer cans
    that way it cooks into the chicken inside and out

    Thats what happened to me,
    I was cooking steaks and Key was talking about beer can chickens
    so the next weekend I had to make some

    those are potato's
    they keep the steam inside so the chickens
    dont dry out

    Potatoes are good Try also an Onion .......peeled of course maybe a Orange or a Lemon...... anything that seals up the opening to keep the steam inside

    Takes awhile to find the proper beer to use for the beer can chicken

    Looks great! What's the right temp or setting on the grill to cook them at? About how long do you let them cook? I would like to try that..

    they look great. that's one thing i didn't consider when i built my cooker. they won't fit. i have to use those little cornish game hens and use those skinny energy drink cans. i dump out 2/3 of the drink and put beer and spices in it.i like that potato trick. i think i will be doing that tonight.
