testo 417
I am looking at picking up a Testo 417 rotating vane anemometer. We don't do much commerical air balancing so i don't really want to buy a balometer. If any one has used the Testo 417 please let me know what you think of it. If any one has a Balometer that they like let me know what it is.

I use a 417 all the time and they work well. Like any tool, you have to learn to use it. You can however get very accurate readings and a velometer is a must for proportional balancing of a system. The main advantage is it is not an air density dependent measurement and they are fast and easy to use.
