    AMANA

    hi all, i`n very pleased i found this site, lo0ks greate good info,
    with that said i have question, i am about to change my 35 year old furnace,
    i picked an AMANA AMV9 96% efficiency, the dealler says is the best in the market, is this a good choice? what is the best of the best out there for natural gas furnaces, my house is a bungalo with basement, 2000 sqft
    of living space, i live in niagara falls canada....................

    any comment will be appreciated, thanks.............

    I have no experience with the Amana so i dunno. Doesnt Goodman make em?

    Saying it's the best on the market is just his opinion. I happen to differ from that opinion.

    Best? prolly not...if installed properly it will give u years of comfort much like anything else.

    My differing opinion is that it isn't the best on the market. I don't have a favorite furnace on the market, since I think there are multiple good ones.

    By the way, I see you moved to Miami... sure you're enjoying the weather there.

    The AMV9 is a good furnace.

    And may well be the best furnace is your market area.

    Which furnace is better then another one. Doens't matter much. if no one in your market area works on them.
    Stay with the brand/brands that your area has support for.

    yes, i have always lived and enjoyed the warm weather climate, except my 5 year sabaticle in Tennessee

    the weather hear is condusive to HVAC (Cooling) techs.

    i have done mostly refrigeration calls since my return, but;

    it is getting to the time of year when the no cools calls start coming in by the dozens

    also this time of the year the humidity starts kicking up past 75% (on dry days)

    a lot of HVAC systems (that were not maintained) start leaking water
