2009 Energy Tax Credits - Maximim $1,500/- or can be more?
Hello-
I am new to the site that looks quite useful and this is my first post.
There is some confusion on the total tax credit available. In some instances, it is quoted as "$1,500 per homeowner" but then I found this question in FAQ listing on the EPA managed Energy Star website (http://www.energystar.gov/)
http://energystar.custhelp.com/cgi-b...bCZwX3BhZ2U9MQ**
So... what is total credit available, $1500 or more?

According to that, if you and your spouse file seperately, then you could each claim a rebate. Just make sure all your ducks are in a row in case of an IRS audit.
