Morning my Murican friends.....
Sad week....18 young men from USA lost in Afghanistan and one Canuck...I truly hope those people appreciate the sacrifice that NA is making for them.
I was slamming myself from 5 till 10 to get work done so I could go down and see my poor old WWII Vet. neighbour in the hospital today as he was gravely ill and I did not want to see him die alone.....he passed away 7pm last night....all alone.....I GD hate the circle of life sometimes.....
Getting arrangements for the Cenotaph ceremony for Nov 11 for our Vets....it is more and more well attended every year....Lest We Forget....Never..."The quality you deserve is not expensive---it's priceless"

Glad to hear there was someone to see him off. When my wifes granpa was in a nursing home, it was a hard one to swallow. He was a WWII hero with 3 silver stars, and was treated like a piece of meat at the home. All the old folks there were so pumped full of meds to make them manageable, it made me sick.

It's sad but also heart warming on our Nov 11 (Remembrance Day)......the ranks of the 'old guard' is dwindling BUT the attendance of the public grows each year and the deep appreciation of sacrifice of the vets coming back from Afghanistan, Bosnia etc grows. Is there hope for this generation....??? I dearly hope so.....We need to be there for them..
