Speaking of "system resources"....

Back in my dialup days, I used AOL, like a lot of newbie users. I still have my old AOL email for times when I don't want to give out my DSL address.

One of the best moves I made recently is to remove as muuch of the AOL software as I could, and turned off the rest in task manager, and set all of the AOL entries in Zone Alarm to "block."

Suddenly, my machine runs a lot better. I check AOL email through the web portal.

I find Firefox is a little buggy, in that sometimes it (3.5.3) will not open, and when you try to uninstall it as a fix, a window claims it is actually running, albeit in the background. So, I reboot and it starts working.

I think she's right. It's when the fog lifts that you are able to see the potholes. Then, you can start driving around them!
