Good morning, got a full day lined up doing refrigeration inspections on two new resteraunts we just aquired, a day away should be quite relaxing. I'm starting to compare my job with Hell, this is't good.

When I first started doing this, a guy said to me, "don't do restaurants."

    Maybe your situation is why.

Just getting tired of the corperate BS, working for a large company and doing work for national accounts and all their red tape. I'm really starting to miss dealing with the homeowner or business owner and the apmasphere of a two man shop. I should just quit whineing and be thankfull I got a job. Maybe I can own my own business someday.

Well, I hear ya Tiger as I worked for Honeywell for 1 1/2 years and put up with some of the stupidest reasons for stuff I have ever heard BUT....I was up at 4:45 am this morning and I shut my laptop down at 10:15 last nite.....that's everyday my friend....granted a lot of it is Digi-Cool but most of it is Lockhart Industries. Customers phone me at suppertime "because we KNOW you are home at suppertime" and then the coordinating trades are phoned for arrangements after that. Professionals and teachers etc phone after work and a lady asked me last night to come to her place to look at her heating system 'for pricing' after 6:30 because her personal life was more important (apparently) than mine. It's the sign of the times......self satisfaction and 'easier softer way' never works BUT it's the way we are doing things these days.....
Tiger.....the ironic thing is the hardest working, most giving, most volunteering people ARE the happiest.......like my Mother said you never find happiness by directly seeking happiness....you will however find happiness in by doing for others....
It's really hard to do and JMHO but when I get into this position....I find someone who needs some help and just quietly do something for them......then voila.....you're the one that wins along with that person of course.....it's like magic and it works EVERY time....
