ah...yeah..I guess I was a little slow on the uptake, since it had never been directed pointedly at me.

I never killed a goose with the Lear, but I did slice open a rather large crow with my angle of attack sensor. The sensor is about the size of a playing card, with a knife edge and a long metal arm that connects to the sensor circuitry in the air data computer. When the angle of attack to the wing changes, the arm swivels in the relative wind, and you get the info needed for the stick shaker and stick pusher systems.

The leading edge caught that bird as he slid back on the right side of the nose at about 240 knots, and opened him up like a tuna. When we got back to base, the mechanic had to wash the innards off the side of the jet with a pressure washer.

So, nothing as spectacular as sucking a goose into an engine. That said, if it weren't for the AOA arm, that bird could have gotten into my engine. If he had, I would have had to land back in Milwaukee with some p'd off executives.

Wow, I thought I had lived in a lot of places. What's your favorite Beach Boys song, "I get around???"

I'd hide a fishing pole and some tackle in the trunk and tell her you had to go to the Mart. Go drown some worms and knock back some cold ones.

angle of attack sensor sounds like a weapon?
i guess it is if you are a goose.
you could assault martman with your angle of attack sensor, all he has to protect himself with is the blue light ray gun!! lol
