unfortunately, the bills never seem to stop. if you miss home to the extent you're losing sleep, there's your answer. you got to be happy.

why the f#$k did i get into this profession? sister1 is a microbiological engineer, sister2 is a chemical engineer

I'm too tired when I get off work I don't have to worry about not sleeping. The only thing is in the city I get to do more of what I do best and love to do. Back home I've seen Ann Crafts condensing unit so many times I can tell you how many screws hold it together and just know when I walk in the house shes going to ask me if I oilded the motor, and would I oil her water stops under the sink as well! But in the city I get to work on a new 200 ton chiller and learning and refineing my skills every day. Insted of oiling Ann Crafts stupid water shutoffs.

it's a matter of priorities - whaddya wanna do - service the general population, with a personal connection,where your work is remembered, or work in the rat race, where the line is - 'what have you done for me lately'?

but i was freezing a pipe on the 2nd floor of a 14 story bldg
done it dozens times same bldg
this one did not go so well chillers on the roof
froze the pipe cut it and started to solder on new valve

14 story 160 feet x.433 wat 75 psi through a 1 1/2" pipe
ofcourse blowing through both sides!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

i shoved a expandable plug up in the pipe to stop the water "jet sweat" you have to hold it against the pressure and screw in the handle, that was cutting the hell outa me
i had to do both the supply and the return

the clean up cost was 50k
and i do not even know about the server damage and the down time?????????????

bad day!!!!

Howdy Gang....... Hope everyone one had a decent day.

Had a customer wanted their HP systems checked out today.... also wanted some "governors" installed. I asked dispatch... WTF? They didnt know... just that they limited temp. Turns out they wanted "control temp" tstats installed they got online. Looks alot like a honeywell focuspro 8000.
HHmmm govenor....... too funny!
