afternoon Bret & gang ! Yep Bret these are our shinning stars of the future ...hope everyone is doing well today. I'm just doing what I always do. Picked green beans this mourning and I'll be pulling weeds this afternoon. Have a few rain drops around us but it is keeping the temps down.
Going boating later and yep we keep our snake population in check in the pond. Have not seen very many this year but it is kinda early.

afternoon Bret & all. Hope your doing good today Bret ! I went for my annual check up and had blood drawn. Hope all comes back okay. I'm really fine just have to do this 2 times yearly , drop in the bucket . Need to go harvest cabbage and some more beans and check on the melons & cucumbers to see how they are fairing. Bret tell Karen there is land for sale all around us at reasonable prices. On piece of land north of us has a nice house and about 98 acres for around $350,000.oo. Hubby and I talked about buying it but talked each other out of it because this place keeps us busy enough and one more acre would probable kill us...lol...

I've talked a little here about Matthew, the Cub Scout with leukemia.

Here's a picture that someone posted on my Facebook of him at our Spring camp event.

He was apparently on a course of steroid and was the hungriest kid in camp. I think that this is the only time he was without something to eat in each hand.

mourning Bret & all , Doug L mostly just rat snakes and grass snakes. We have never seen a rattler but did find a copperhead years ago and have not seen any cottonmouths here. Ya see if we see them, their dead. I hate spiders & snakes.. Jps ... Matthew got to go to camp this year ! That's great !! y'all be safe out there. I'm entertaining friends this afternoon.

ACGC....Mostly no poisonous snakes in Canada...'cept in desert part of southern BC and Alberta.....out here on Vancouver Island it's only black bears and cougars (4 legged ones--or mountain lions in the USA). I've run into the bears on the mountain in the morning this time of year and I know in the winter (no feed for them) I've been tracked by a cougar on my climb in the morning. They usually will sit in wait in a tree, then pounce ...... so I scan the upper branches all the time with my 10 watt LED headlamp. It freaks you out when you see all the eyes staring back at you.....mostly raccoons and some owls....
Thanx for the update JP.....the appetite is a good thing......keep up the good work.....
