Well, the Alex (Alexandra Scott) of Alex's lemonade stand lost her battle with cancer in 2004.

We do the lemonade stand every year as a community service project and raise about $150 each year.

Matthew, our Cub fighting cancer, seems to be doing well. He was there and poured a couple of lemonades.

    That's great, JP.

The Broker/owner of the office where I keep my real estate license knows Alex's parents. They are dedicated to keeping her legacy alive.

It's my deep and sincere hope that this tradition continues after I pass the Cubbing torch to the next guy.

I take it you will be moving into the green outfit when the kids do?

I already wear both outfits. Was out camping and playing "Are you tougher than a boy scout?" this weekend with the big boys.

I'll remain a den leader until my youngest becomes a boy scout, and will remain a pack committee member for a year or so to offer any advice they need as it would be a shame to waste 7 years of experience and wisdom.

I have often thought about going back in a few years and volunteering to be a full-time Tiger Den leader. These are the first graders and it is the toughest den to organize because parents don't want to step up. Of course, if I do that, it might hurt their chances to recruit quality leadership for the next year. I haven't decided, yet.
