Hey gang.
How's it going this weekend?
Had the nephew over last night, finally.
I think that my little "smack-down" a while back might have knocked some sense into him. He's laid off the drink (at least he's not getting hammered) and he's treating her a lot better (hasn't hit her or ran around on her)
Spent a little time talking with him and I think that he's slowly growing up. Of course, he's only 21 so I can expect a bit of youthful exuberance in him.

'Morning Bret and everyone. JP, I'm glad to hear about the kid. We're all pulling for him turning things around. I know of one person who went from a full-blown quart of shine daily drinker to social drinker, going on close to a decade.. Involved a major medical scare and "a few" words from his MD wife, though
As Doug said, if social doesn't work he can always do the 12 steps. Worked for a heck of a lot more people.

mourning Bret and all ..well it's almost 2013...whew what a year. Everyone stay safe. I'll be in the kitchen either cleaning or cooking today. Then to party with my best friend in the cabana`. Just a vodka tonic for me & whiskey & branch for my pal and probable be in bed by 10. Wow what a couple we are !! See y'all next year !

Moonrunner......please don't rub it in to the yanks about their junior's Hockey team loss to the little country of Canada .... that of course kicks their a$$es every time we play the mighty USA....they're real touchy about being losers....!!! I've suggested we get the Canadian girls team to play their men's team to make it a bit more fair to them......but they woosed out on that too.......
Besides......they are all on their way over the fiscal cliff.......

I guess I must be the exception. We couldn't have pro hockey in the US if it wasn't for players from Canada. We could build a couple of teams from our northern midwest, and maybe the northeast. But we could never put the number of teams on the ice that play at the current levels it we didn't have a good bunch of guys from north of the border.

Go to Ft. McMurray.......they are hiring reefer techs/mechanical foremen for $20-22,000 PER MONTH!!!!! And you get to live rent/food/o/h free.
We will be 20,000 - 100,000 skilled tradesmen short in the next decade so they are advertising in California for workers.....that would be of course instead of training/hiring from within.....moron politicians...."The quality you deserve is not expensive---it's priceless"
