Came back from the range, this time I got to send a few in the general direction of the backstop (good news: no holes in the walls or ceiling 
) - IPSC night. Lots of fun.
That's good news, Bob. Got some coming from this direction.
JP: If it's from the stand, with the rifle on a rest, the weight shouldn't matter and would even moderate the recoil.The sentimentalist in me votes for the 6mm. You definitely got Aaron off on a good path. Keep it up!

Got up was having a shaky morning but decide to push it. I want to finish a small bowl I was turn on the Lathe. About an hour into it I stared having a MG flare up, leg and arm were starting to give, yes I should have stop BUT keep going.
Had my small finger between the Finishing tool and the tool rest and cutting overhand to the lathe rotation and to top it all off I was doing the inside of the bowl liken this. If I saw Andy doing that I would have jumped all over him. My legs got weak stared to fall tool came around got my finger in between the rest cutting my little finger mostly off at the 1st knuckle but leaving it still attached and off and breaking the bone.
4 hours at the ER
Good new is looks like I get to kept the finger tip , I'll see the Hand Doctor Tuesday
my own stupid fault doing about ever unsafe thing you can think of. Remember Safety Last
