Yes.
The anesthetic was THE MOST painful part of this whole ordeal.
I won't lie, that little needle hurt one H**L of a lot more than the drillbit itself did.
I'm thinking I'm going to be off for the week. Going to see my doc tomorrow. Supposed to see an ortho, but the one we were referred to is apparently super busy doing a fellowship in another city so getting in to see him isn't easy.

I slipped hiking on rocks and ripped the center of my palm open about 2" long and 1/2" deep right into the cartilage etc. I finished the hike with Brenda about 2 hours and tried to wash it out in some creeks...almost passed out. I then went to emergency and aN ER DR. customer of mine was so %$%ing busy he needed to clean the dirt, mud and fir needles out of it so he froze me but waited too long TWICE......so he then came back the third time and asked and I just said to go for it. He took a hard bristle (like a nail brush) grabbed my hand and put under the warm water and began scrubbing violently down deep into the wound......I collapsed to my knees and he asked "does it hurt".....blood and hunks of meat all over the place from him scrubbing......but it didn't infect!!!!!!
