Brett. If you and Andy want to have some real Lego fun invest into one of these:

    http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=8053

My girlfriend got me one for my 24th birthday (yes...24th.) and when you can make the thing rise up about 2-3ft in the air its truely awesome. The box says 11-16 but the instructions are pretty simple they add maybe one or two pieces per step.

All and all today was a good day here. New shop said today once I get the papers they will indenture me. But the journeyman wants to quiz me first. And I asked if I could do some service and they said they will send me to do some once in a while but I will still be an installer for quite some time. Get good at installing them THEN learn how to fix them. Sounds like a good deal to me.

    Thanks Brett.

You should see some of the stuff they have. Dump trucks, construction equipment, cars, motorcycles, quads.

The minimachines (8065-8067) are super easy to build. Take maybe an hour or two tops? If I didnt already have a couple hobbies on the go I would go for the excavator or backhoe. They actually have levers and switches on them and I think they can be motorized and work with a remote control. Of course, you dont need the motor to work them as they have knobs on them to work the booms and knuckles. They're easy to covert though and the instructions to motorize the model are included with it. Also, most of them have an alternate model that you can build. Like the mobile crane has instructions using the same pieces to build a dock crane and the mini crane can become a tow truck. The excavator it seems can become a tracked loader and so on and so forth.

Brett, We are visiting with grandkids today. We gave each one something called a Splat Ball. Great fun for hours and only $2 each. Us grownup kids had fun too.
