I didn't get much done today but I finished up my errands around 1900. On my way home I got a call from another contractor working on an RTU in Boulder.
"Hey Jason can you help me? We got this roof top, really old it sparks and the pilot lights then goes out. We replaced the igniton module and still can't get it to work."
"Did you clean the flame sensor and check your grounds."
"There's no flame sensor, it's really old just the pilot and sparker."
"Ok clean the sparker and make sure all the wires are hooked up good, espically the green one."
"OK I try that I call you back."
Two minutes later he calls me back thanking me the unit is running good and they spent two hours on it bought a new module and still couldn't get it to work. Maybe you would have some time to look at Ice Machine for me tomorrow need to make it from three phase to two phase......ROLMAO.
I really get a good laugh dealing with some of these handyman contractors around here. With guys like this working on stuff it's really easy for me to gain a customers respect. I don't mind doing a little tech support over the phone because 80% of the time I need to go to the jobsite anyway, and those are billable hours.
