I wish that we'd have taken the second part of that advise 10 years ago.

We are just now getting into a savings mode after spending more than we made for several years.

We've gotten the debt cleared and are now starting to 'live within our means'.

Next step is to start living beneath our means and we'll be doing fine.

side work.............. haven't done that in years.
side work is a game of odds, kinda like a B19 driver in WW2. eventually your number comes due. with today's quality of products, and lawyers suing a whole conga line, it ain't worth it.
i can lose what little i have, even if i am innocent.

    I'd have to find something.

Heck, I'd open up a 'phone-a-tech' line and take calls at $3.95 a minute to talk hacks through fixing stuff if I had to.

About the only other thing I'm cut out for is teaching.

I think I'd like to do that at some point down the road.
