Oh yah big wuss.......it's the same temperature as the ocean here.....that's why you guys raise the same salmon in your salmon farms there but Chile is allowed to net pen them in rivers......a no no here. Chile had a 2 year moratorium on salmon growing because of a parasitic systemic infection but I hear they're growing again.....which will #$#@ up the world market salmon prices.....

Good luck tomorrow Bret! Yeah, I'm kinda stuck with resistive as the lesser evil.. Gas is too expensive per BTU here so it's not even an option. Condo rules won't allow anything mounted/sticking outside so I can't run a mini-split (no balcony either). Portables are almost as bad when it comes to efficiency as resistive heating, are noisy and take up space, plus they're a large investment ($700 a pop and we'd need a couple) and they'd negate any savings from the fancy new windows and curtains we got. Kerosene is a popular choice here but it would kill the IAQ and I don't like the idea of storing a large amount of flammables in occupied space.

Art, I'd rather see him as a mechanic. Engineering would be a waste of a smart, handy kid

Doug, I grew up swimming in the Adriatic, so cold oceans are not my cup of tea. No idea on the salmon situation. The only salmon I like is the one that oinks

Well, Bret has had a recurrence, but he is on the mend, and he recently found out his tumor has gotten 50% smaller compared to when it was found, so that's a real blessing.
