It's a bit of a chilly morning. I still don't have a central heating system operational in my new home. Gonna move my office into the family room where the wood stove is.

Any guy in our trade with a woodstove for heating should be taken out and beat with a stick......
The price you'd pay for a GHP from 'outside' the trade coupled with the extra mortgage would pay for the GHP with the heating savings and you wouldn't have all that carcinogenic $hit going out the pipe on the roof!!!!
IF you had a car with that kind of $hit coming out of the tailpipe going down the road they'd haul you off the road......so why would/should it be acceptable for your house to puke it all out in the environment?

Don't tell me how much 'cheaper' it is to burn wood as I live in a forest and the insurance, extra chimneys, cleaning, trucking, buying, chainsaws, blah blah blah are NOT cheaper, never mind the health issues. The most unhealthy house you can live in is a wood heated house.....

Fronk.......I go through this 8 days a week....including yesterday trying to weld off a coil at the head prosecuting attorney's house where he put a screwdriver through his iced up outdoor coil on his A/A H/P because although he lives in a $1M+ house on 20 acres ON a lake.....he elected to put his money into a $200,000 motorhome that sits in his yard 50 weeks a year instead of an extra $10-15,000 in his GHP central heating system that works 8-16 hours a day 365 days a year to keep his family HEALTHY as well as comfortable and SAFE without burning $hit to keep warm. When, for God's sake WHEN are we going to stop being such F&%#%*ing hypocrites......we whine about people being cheap SOBs and DIY hacking $hit, then saddle up to some 1850s technology for heating.....there you go......you reap what you sow!!!!! We deserve the recession......we are reaping.....
