My wife's parents are coming from KS, I have Fri. off, and it is snowing and blowing.

This thanksgiving I am especially thankful for my daughter, who meets me at the door every night!!!
She is 16 months old.

Evan, I have cashed large contract cheques, received patent documents, signed larger contracts......and NOTHING EVER compared to having my daughters come running to see their Daddy, no matter how bad I smelled, how dirty I was, how much money I didn't make that day, how many jobs I failed at that day.......the beaming smile and their sweet cute little voices running at me for me to pick them up still brings a tear to my eye.......you are in the middle of one of the coolest periods of your daughter's life....enjoy and drink up all you can......you are a lucky, blessed man......

Got 15 hours in yesterday and got another one like it today.....hard on an ole man doing service calls 15 hours a day. Got another 4" of snow and it's 'bout -7 again today......got an 85 yr. old couple up and running last night at 9:30 that were huddled around their wood stove trying to keep warm and the guy's got pneumonia so I was tired but the deed made up for it....

I have boys, but the sentiment is the same. Enjoy this time in their lives. It slips away so quickly.

That is SO cool. I have imagined what that would be like.

Closest I can come to this is some hungry cats waiting for food when I back into the driveway....

Well, I hadn't intended for that to happen. Of course, the "crazy" part is just par for the course. Who else but a cray man would try and land a jet on an icy runway?

My mother had a cat or two she would feed at her flower shop. Long story short: she passed away, my dad got behind on the building taxes, I bought the building, and bingo, I'm the crazy old man with the cats.

Then, Julie started radiation treatments and knew she would be too tired to take care of her two indoor cats, so I now have four outside and two inside. The good part is I never have to walk them. Food, water, litter....and they are good to go. With no one there to walk a dog, I'd have a big mess.

I do miss my Collie, though. Looked just like Lassie. I was 12.

What's with the current trend of mixing every other breed of dog with a poodle? I think it's just because the mixed names sound funny;

The reason that we bought this dog is because my oldest is allergic to dogs.

This breed doesn't shed and is hypoallergenic.

you surviving for us to enjoy is one of the greatest thanksgiving gifts I could ever have!

It is truly an honor to know you!

Could we all take a moment today to remember Sam and Max????????????????????

I would also like to remember Zahra Baker, I hope they are enjoying thanksgiving day in Heaven, playing and having fun like all children should have the opportunity do !!!!!!!!!

I am thankful for my beautiful Wife, Daughters, Gran daughters, Nieces, my Country and all the Veterans ,American and Allies that gave their life for my freedom. Friends," you guys and chopped liver" my job, the skills of my craft that God gave me to support my family! My home and everything I have worked so hard for! The ability to provide all those things and my health!
