Just that one job from earlier. I finally got my recommendations out to them. Told them the plan was to vacuum out the old blown in insulation =-about 8 inches- and replace flex duct with metal round, and then flash coat the attic floor with a half inch of closed cell spray foam to air seal and two inches for the sealed duct work and then bury it all under R-49 blown insulation.

For the oversized 5 5on a/c downstairs a Rawal Valve to modulate its capacity down, and replace PSC blower motors with ECM motors and leave in the "circulate" mode to eliminate some zoning issues they have.

Exterior solar screens or shading for the southwest facing windows and call it a day.

Had an old customer do the same thing - mostly - and he said he can't believe how much the comfort has improved in his home and he has to turn the stat up to kjeep from getting too cold. His summer electric bills are down by 58% also, while the last summer was only 17% cooler than the previous one, but I also had him replace his pool pumps with high efficiency ones, so that played a big role in the energy use reduction.

I honestly could not tell you. I am lucky if I can get my audit customers to actually implement anything I advise, much less get into the details of what's in the foam. I did specify closed cell.

I'm pretty sure this was my last audit, so I'm hoping I'm successful in getting them to implement my recommendations. I should know something on Thursday when I speak to them again, after they've had time to digest my report.

Have to post picture of the Maple I got in the last 2 day. THe couple I got it from were great had there Landscaping guys ( well do most of the loading help load it.

Got some Burr(s) on 2 section not big ones but hey I happy to have got them.

And now the funny part cutting them into Blanks.

There is a lot of what I say to many people buried in the pages of this thread.
