It was announced by an independent auditing 'government watchdog' group yesterday that the 'balanced budget' should be established sooner than the Conservatives promised......
We bought into the Obama 'give $hit away for nothing' stimulus plan so that really $^$#^%ed up the paying down of the debt.....so yah it's still there....but not going to Iraq helped keeping that down alot......
Afghanistan is still a wack of money though...

    Morning Bret.....how's it?

To answer your question on tax (not related tyo income tax ) the Ontario sales tax is 13 %.

On another note, gas prices are around $ 1.071 per litre or about $ 4.05 per US gallon.

Always fun to fill a 36 gallon truck full of gas.

I have always heard taxes are high there?

    but what is high????????????????

we pay 2% property tax if you own a home??????

state tax is different everywhere and some states do not have any??

here in Kansas city it is 9%
of course you would have to buy something to have to pay that!

for those lucky guys who live in Kansas city Missouri they also pay 1% tax just to live in that beautiful city.

cigarette tax is about $3 a pack or more maybe 4???

I think gasoline is about $2 tax a gallon

liquor tax is 10% state tax, when I buy it and 10% when I sell it!
also I pay an estimated 10% tax on the resale value of the drink!

    I should mention I own a bar!

as far as taxes out of my paycheck??

It depends on how much you make??

I get about 28% of my check withheld in taxes, but get quite a bit of it back?

If you are rich or a business owner you only pay about 5% because you can cheat the system

In the USA I would say 90% of the taxes are paid by the middle to lower middle class!

we did not even mention car reiteration!

    I LOVE TAXES!!!!!!!!!!!1

could it possibly be higher in Canada??????????

On the railroad, I replaced a 6,600 volt transformer primary fuse in a cutout on a pole.

    In the rain.
