    Bret, How's it?
Well being a typical ex-boozer……I'm also addicted to sugar and the incredible pain in my 4X operated knee, shoulders, elbows, hips and mostly lower back were killing me even with the stretching out every morning and riding 4X per week. The gout is very close relative to arthritis and also sugar causes 'gout like joint issues'. Soooooo I basically have not eaten sugared food in 3-4 weeks and almost all of my joint pain is completely gone!
Quit drinking 26+ years ago, quit smoking 25+ years ago, started exercising regularly 28+ years ago, the ole lady sent me to be 'fixed' 20+ years ago ….. so all I had was EATING (and keep the weight in check with the riding) for a vice……..now I need to conquer the sugar addiction……..I think I'm gonna slash my wrists.
Work is very, very slowly picking up….very scary here. 4 local companies under with the 5th being the largest about a month ago laying off 68 guys.
I am still waiting to hear from you on one of those bowls to support your cancer fund raising. Gotta go and see my aunt this weekend who's not got long to live with lung/back lesions/brain cancer……she was a really, really good influence on my daughters growing up…….

Off you a$$es, off the couches this weekend guys…….goes for you too AC Chick……just bolt 'em down with a good sports bra like my old lady for field hockey and get out there……wards off cancer better than ANY other thing you can do!!

mourning Bret & all...yes Doug I do jog from time to time. Just that most of my exercise is working the land & camping. Yes camping takes allot to get everything ready and I walk a bunch. Told hubby that we're getting bikes to ride and he is stoked about that. Hell his bike is picked out already and it cost, now get this 3,000.00. I have not found one yet but looking for a simple one. Glad everyone is busy with lives & family. It's Friday and I've got the week-end to catch up. Y'all be safe out yonder !!

Chick…..High Cardio is the best thing one can do for heart and cancer avoidance…….the 'anaerobic' or non aerobic does great things for muscle….but nothing for heart and cancer. If you also run your core temperature up to 102 degF 3-4 times per week, you'll purge yourself of all viruses and bacteria and virtually never get a cold or flu……another reason for the high cardio.

This should get yer ole man going…..if you show it to him……
The last bike I built up had a clone of it in Pinkbike.com for sale for $8000 as it was a $10,000 build…….y'now us guys, it's all about the toys Chick……http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/1440438/
And so you don't quit the biking spend 1/10 as much on the bike as you do on the RV and you'll not quit it. Also buy a good pair of padded riding shorts fer your hootspah so you don't quit either….!!!

I sorry to hear about your Aunt, Please let her know Karen Andy and I are think of her. glad to hear thing are looking at lest some what better for you

I foolishly put everything up for show and sale a few weeks ago INCLUDING Christmas gift I had made and thing I made for Karen figuring I would show only some. but had 3 people push on multiple Items. And I went ahead and sold them. I'm trying to get blows and stuff made but only been able to get 2 items finished (but not polished. Since then I been busy with Andy being track out and MG flair up. I been very happy to have this problem with my lathe work, feel good to look at myself and feel like I still able to be productive, been a challenge not to feel useless this last year.

I make sure I have you and Brenda set aside next.

UNC appointment was very status quo. So that's good. However, the testing was a bit of and joke and the follow with them made me want to smack them upside the head and say do some real testing and give me some real answers. Not this wishy washy, hum, yes, no, maybe, cant say, might be might not be CRAP. I've decide to start demanding more definitive answers and after that visit. But what to you expect from Phd's in Neurosciences Research.

MS = more of the same

Sorry to hear about your aunt, Doug. Bret, the more specialized they get the harder it is to get a straight answer out of them. Shouldn't be afraid to use motivational tools such as dope-slaps and a modified insulation tester...

    Good morning, Bret and everyone!

Now, it will be too dark out to run for a full hour when I get home from work, so I have to get up tomorrow and run BEFORE work. Yikes!

mourning Bret & all. It's Monday so lets make the most of it. I'll be cleaning and hubby will be fixing a water leak. Normally I'd have that little leak fixed by now but it's 2 feet in the ground ( 2" pvc) and my arthritis is killing me today so he'll call a buddy to come help. Of course I'll have to pay him with beer I'm sure :>
