    if you use the ball peen end of your hammer and beat the hell out of the 7/8 copper then you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    but it is alot of work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    when i used to do alot of water service lines/ service entrance lines that is all i did.

    i used to run a cable through the old 3/4 galvanized line go in the basement and attach the cable to the new type k roll of soft copper
    tie the other end to my truck and pull the new lines in place.
    that way you did not tear up the lawn.

    oh bob i forgot to tell you

    the sast iron bearing bracket i broke on that chiller.
    i heated it up with a torch and stick welded it and then used my ball peen to wack the hell out of it while it cooled down.

    it worked well.
