    oh bob i forgot to tell you

    the sast iron bearing bracket i broke on that chiller.
    i heated it up with a torch and stick welded it and then used my ball peen to wack the hell out of it while it cooled down.

    it worked well.

    Wait a minute.

    You welded cast, in the field...using what? A rosebud and 770 rod and your portable DC machine?

    I've run into him on the mountain a couple times. He sleeps in the broom in the neighbour's back yard....

    i studied a little first and learned about peening!

    i used nickle rod!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    preheat the entire thing and lay the rod in a little at a time not one pass and slowly peen the puddle
