Morning all. Worked with the tin bangers all this week. Did get to wire in a Venmar Constructo (it's so hard its definitely something to write home about HAHA). Spent most of that time duct sealing or banging 8"xwhatevers. So now I have a sore arm. But what a great stress relief. Pittsburgh locks close so much easier when you think of someone you hate HAHA!

Good morning, Bret and everyone.

I was just watching the 911 memorial coverage on Fox. Hard to believe it's been nine years now.

I was in the airplane with a flight student that morning, working on his instrument rating.

While we were on approach to a landing on an ILS, the tower informed us that all aircraft were being grounded. I got on the radio and asked how long it would be before we could taxi for takeoff again. He said "probably not today." After he said those words, he kept his mic open, and I heard the noise in the background. All of the tower to tower and New York Center channels were alive with shouting from the control towers and and the bewildered pilots who had not heard what was going on just over on the horizon, where I could clearly see the NY skyline from 5,000 feet above Reading, Pa. What's that smoke over there.....?

We landed, and taxi'd over to the ramp, and went inside. Everyone was gathered around a TV, watching a huge hole in the side of the first tower impact. We all stood there, slack jawed...

The 911 Commission noted that they had been at war with US, but we had not been at war with THEM.



And, that was our mistake.

I would like to see Osama bin Laden's head hung on the Christmas tree in New York City.
