Two boys is what I was given. I say that because you just can't pick what you're getting and you take what is handed to you. I'm not sure I would have done well with girls, but I'd have managed, I'm sure.

As far as finding a woman who can handle being married to this job, it isn't easy. She needs to be one tough woman. Mine could take any abuse handed out on a jobsite, maybe even better than I could. Many, many guys in this trade get divorced. I'm not sure if there are statistics, but I'd be curious if there were....

Best advice I can give you is just quit looking. Give up and be yourself. That is what I did and it worked out for me. Will it work for you? Who knows....

Actually, that IS a problem, but it is not the "main" problem. Our main problem is that we are turning our backs on God.

The "miracle" drugs I spoke of are not the mood altering drugs you mentioned. No, the miracle drugs are the cures for dozens of diseases that have plagued folks for hundreds of years. And, we are working on more cures every day.

When cures for cancer, MS, AIDS, and other dreaded diseases are found, they will be funded by US citizens and tested right here. The price we pay for drugs helps fund the research for these cures.

There is no "softer" American way. There is hard work and personal responsibility, or there is the soviet style of living that our parents fought so hard to protect us from.

The next two elections are where we are willing to take America back, or not.

That's the bottom line.

FYI Vancouver...that's in Canada Art, at UBC .... that's the University of British Columbia....in social world mecca....just came up with about three cutting edge possible cures for MS, some cancer malignancies and AIDS.....and we didn't even need to us the USA style system.....it's funded research from both Govt and the private sector!

Besides the fact that the 'main religion' in the USA is money.....Tiger Woods NEEDS $500M/yr??.....present company excepted Art, the 'God' thing is becoming a laughable farce .....

I'm just a former liberal who decided to learn about freedom and individual liberty. The things I was taught in college about Marxism and related thought all led to one result: a two-tiered system of ruling class (think: Gore, Pelosi, Obama...) and all of the rest of us, the "ruled" class, being taxed so that they can curry favor with voters and live like kings.

Now I am not an expert on Canada, Doug, but I'm sure those weren't the values that Canada was founded upon. I am certain that those were not the values that America was founded upon.

I am in the middle, Doug. I realized that the media, which according to standards of journalism is supposed to be a presenter of facts rather than a supporter of ideologies, had been misleading myself and millions of other Americans. Fortunately, a new media has risen to take the place of CBS, NBC, ABC, and CNN, since all these outlets have abdicated journalism in favor of activism.

We were founded as a representative republic, based on our Constitution. When we can return to that model, where the government responds to the will of the People, and not their own self-aggrandizement, then we will be on a road to recovery. There is nothing "extreme" about that model, except to say that it has almost become extinct, and that is extremely dangerous for freedom and liberty.
