Hello Bret and to all. Just a quick note to let you all know that I'm thinking about you guys and your trials. I don't get to the computer too much this time of year. Swamped with paper work and trying to keep from losing staff. Not doing too well with that this year.
Bret, nice pix in Florida. We just got back Sunday from a week in Cocoa Beach. If anybody is down there, the pizza at Papa Vito's is outstanding. I'm not easily impressed, but this pizza is worth a stop if your in the neighborhood. We went to Universal , Kennedy Space Center and Seaworld. My oldest broke his toe on the beach the second day there. Nice view from the hospital though. He's OK and now he just has to wait for the bones to finish knitting together. It's good to be young!! I'd take weeks before I could even walk again if I broke a toe.

Bret you are doing great as far as I can tell. Keep it going! I hope you found some work to your liking. Anyways, best wishes to all.

Just a thought. My father used to get the radiators brazed to fix the leaks when I was a kid. HVAC guys usually can do that work themselves. Might be worth a try if money's tight. He used to have the brazing done and then put under low pressure in a water tank to check for leaks. Good luck with it.

Yeah I'm against the stuff myself but figured with its age I had nothing really to lose. It just has to last me until June when I start working again and can afford to replace it.

It's a 1999 Saturn SL1. Third radiator I've had to put in and I've drove it for four years now. They're flawed in design. They use a combination of metal and plastic. Aluminum fins and coil, plastic side tanks. Plastic and metal never mix in my opinion as metal expands and contracts more with heat than plastic. I saw all kinds of late 90's Saturns this winter with the same rad leak in the same place as on mine. It's right where the plastic tank flanges up against the metal. You can try re-crimping the tanks but I did that and it didn't work and since I need this car to do a good bit of highway driving when I go home I just said I guess I've got to put a new radiator in.

Concentrations crappy. It's got Dexcool, and gas station 50/50. I know I could have saved myself some money if I just fixed it in the first place. I just had some hope that I could get it to hold for the next few months as I stated earlier.

how bout a better job paying better money. Hard for a one income family to make it here. I make the most I have made my entire life now.... and it still isnt enough!!! I was talking to my wife the other day.... told her I wish I could find a job that would allow me to spend more time with my family (and her especially) during the summer.
    Thanks for your support Frank.........
