Hello everyone, interesting call today on my no heat call, no gas coming out of the meter but had gas coming in. I took the meter off and bypassed it. About that time the maintenance man for the trailer park showed up and said that was ok I saved him from doing any work today, he would come buy and put on a new meter monday.

That's one I've never done. Around here, it sounds like a stack of papers with sigatures just to touch the meter....

I have seen meters freeze in the winter.

Not certain as to the cause of that, but a good bucket or two of almost boiling hot water over the regulator will normally resolve it.

If it is small enough, you can remove it and take it apart for cleaning.

Normally that would be that case but the trailer park pays for the gas then they are the ones that meter and bill out. I asked the maintenance man about the meter and he told me there is a valve inside there that can get stuck. I wanted to take it apart, I almost asked him if I could.

Then went to another locaton to help another tech, older gentleman proably around 60 or so. He said he's been in out of the trade 12 times comeing back into the trade from a welder. He was an HVAC technican in the army, very nice fellow as well I'm sure I could learn a lot from him. Anyhow I helped him locate and repair a leak on a 200 ton chiller. That was the first time I've use an H-10, I see why so many people here like it. Now I just got another call the furnace in the springs I fixed the blower on last friday isn't working again, he says the pilot won't stay lit this time. He told me to come down tomorrow so that works for me, I got a gas valve on my personal truck and I can stop and get a thermocouple tomorrow at ACE hardware and I should be set there. Maybe James will sell a furnace tomorrow and put me to work on Sunday.
