That's not how the Brits tell it. All of the military leaders mentioned in history are Brits and there is no mention of Canadians doing anything except cowering behind their British protectors. It's hard for me to bellieve too, but that's the way the Brits see it. Since Canada still has the British queen on their money, we Yanks figure it must be true.
Come to think of it, much of history even gives credit to previously Americans who were loyal to England for doing the fighting for Canada. We Americans figured Canadians invented ice hockey to show Canadians how to fight.

Yup....that'd be it....Upper Canada and Lower Canada weren't even there....
As afore mentioned Ypres, Vimy and Passchendaele.....you will find mention of the French (now there's a revelation), the Brits and the rest of the ...oh yah, you weren't in that war.... giving up with massive casualties until the Canucks took them....
FYI, there's one bill with the Queen on it....the old ones haven't been used in 25 years!!!....and we did find the ability to use more than one colour to do so......not saying you're boring....
FYI also, Canada invented the game of basketball....in Ontario with a apple basket.
FYI, also a Canadian, James Woodward invented the light bulb, patented it and sold the rights to Edison....who found the funding in the USA to commercially develop it.... SOOOOOOO
In the interest of being the neighbour with the longest undefended border in the world and keeping the good relationship, I though I would extend the offer in 3 years to your Men's hockey team on their way over the North Pole to the Olympics in Russia to stop in here in Canada and we'll give your men's team some effective coaching; we arrange some shinny games with our girls team to help them out!!!!!!
"The quality you deserve is not expensive---it's priceless"
Wow! Were Betsy Ross, Abraham Lincoln and John Wayne all Canadians too? I guess you gees invented baseball and apple pie too
You are correct about the guy who invented basketball being a Canadian....of sorts. Seems that he was orphaned in Canada and since Canada did nothing for him, he left Canada and came to the United States. In the U.S., he was treated with dignity and respect and so prosperered. It was in the U.S. that he invented basketball, not in Canada.
And Edison accomplished what Woodward could not after Woodward sold out his patents for his designs for what became the light bulb. Woodward's works went as far as getting a piece of metal to glow from running electricity through it. Pretty much the equivelent a glowing ember in a fireplace. It took an American to finish the job.
But yea, our money is really boring.

Now wait just a minute here! I have never been a sports fan type of a guy, but I'll be darned if my wife and I both don't really enjoy the hockey games played at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA.
It took a little while to figure out all of the rules, but once we did, we both really kinda get into it.

come om Robin!
You are one of the big wigs on here!
Although I am pretty sure you are the only big wig on here with no central heating?
I am sure you could find out. Let me know if you hear anything!
I think 22 is a pretty good guy, I do not think he would be malicious towards anybody here. While I like AM, it seems like he may have a grief with Lusker or one of the mods? He may be posting stuff with malicious intent!
Anyway, I still think hockey is gay!
