MR...yes....but you gotta admit with the lack of democracy and the fact that big business runs their country, they didn't really have a choice...
You wanna be thankful that companies are forbidden from donating to party/candidates in Canada.....
Now, if we can just stop the millions of dollars coming in from the USA to 'support the environmentalists' trying to stop the Northern Gateway project.....we might have a future here in BC.....but then the 47% just might have to get a job then....

'Morning Bret and everyone. Doug, yeah, kinda sad to see the same regime get 99% of the votes, with all the "alternatives" combining to under 1%. Maybe they'll see it one day.

    First my uncle.

Then, on Monday, our good friend had a mini stroke and she is still hospitalized. She'll also be getting a pacemaker tomorrow.

Tonight, I find out that one of my cub scouts was diagnosed with leukemia.

I don't know anything right now as we've just found out.

The wife and I are just at a loss.

    Man, that's cruel JP.....
After all the stupidity that I've inflicted on myself over the years....the ONLY thing that still panics me and shakes me to the bone with fear.....is the threatened health of my family....
Definitely not fair.....for all you guys in Canada, you can sign up on the bone marrow registry when you donate blood....it's easy and should I ever get the call, I'll be stiffing customers to donate....
Not sure how it works in the USA but I'm sure you guys can register and get signed up pretty easy to donate either blood and/or marrow....this is an unbelievable gift....

Jp, the survival rates, depending on the type of Leukemia, are 60 to 75%. My bet is that he gets through this.

My friend Steve Goodman, the Chicago folk musician, lived to age 36. He sometimes referred to himself as "Cool Hand Leuk."

Children are much stronger than we often believe. I'll pray for him.

'Morning Bret and everyone. Great news about Karen, wish her all ther best. Sorry to hear about your scout, JP. As Doug said, the little ones are tough and this one has a high survivability rate. Add a few prayers and I'd be betting on him playing badge catchup very soon.
