Rough day today, guys.
First thing, at 7:30 this morning, I was notified that I would not be returning to light duty. Must have a full work release or I can't work.
That is going to take a pretty big bite out of our savings.
Then early this afternoon, I get THE call.
"If you ever want to see your dad, you need to do it NOW!"
I've visited a lot of sick people, but that was harder than I could have ever imagined.
Sorry to hear that, JP.

I hope he does not suffer!!!!!!!!!1

I had surgery on a hernia a week ago.
Am up and ambulatory, but am limited to lifting 15 pounds and I can't climb ladders.
While my toolbag is light because I'm a lazy ba$tard, I can't get around the climbing part of it.
As far as my dad, they have him on morphine. In drops like you would give a baby.
It was an effort for him to open his eyes and a supreme effort to squeeze my hand.
man
i hope you get well enough to work soon!!!!!!!!!
i just got better from a work injury
workmans comp does not start for 2 we4ks or eligible for 2 weeks and it is only one quarter of my pay!
the hall has something like 400 a week if you are hurt NOT at work!
unemployment here is 480 a week
either way u r screwed
just get better FAST!!!!!!!!!!!
Again really sorry about your Dad!
Frank

Yeah, we applied for the weekly sick benefits which amount to about $400 week.
Had a little saved that we went and cashed out today.
We have enough to get through until I get back to work.
I may have a small windfall of cash coming in from some other property that we own which would be an absolute LIFESAVER at this point in time.
windfalls are good!

Yeah.
Leased gas and oil rights on 11.5 acres.
One time payout of $1500/acre plus 15% roylaties if they hit.
That's a nice little chunk of change.
They have 90 days to pay to fulfill their end of the contract.
sorry to hear about your pops, JP. we're here for you, buddy.
don't try to rush yourself back to work, heal up first.
