My musical tastes are quite broad.

At any given time you can find Beethoven, Willie Nelson, Kid Rock, Pantera, Metallica, Guns And Roses, Lynyrd Skynyrd...

The list goes on and on and on.

I think that I have almost 8,000 MP3s on my PC. Pretty wide variety.

    Tchaikovsky,
While composing the music for the ballet the nut cracker, Tchaikovsky is said to have argued with a friend who wagered that the composer could not write a melody based on the notes of the octave in sequence. Tchaikovsky asked if it mattered whether the notes were in ascending or descending order, and was assured it did not. Like he needed to ask. I wonder what idiot he asked. most likely an engineer, not a chemical engineer of course.

    My wife HATES Kid Rock.

That is the future of music.

You have kids that have been exposed to such a wide variety of music, from classical to country to metal to rap that their influences are going to be very wide ranging. With that type of base, fusions like Kid Rock and Big & Rich are inevitable.

I just can't wait to see what's NEXT.

I was raised on a combination of Classical, pop, and progressive rock. I gravitated to bands like Yes and the early form of Genesis.

My dad plays my French Horn in a church orchestra, and spent about 50 years in various symphonies. He had sold his horn when he retired, so I bought one for him to enjoy.

    Good morning, FCS!!
