then Went to a Wood working show and inter in the you compensation and h got 3 for 1 entry and Honorably Mention for another. Only had 4 other entries in his division . But still, I was proud he step to the Challenge.

By the time I got home I was toast.

Spending a good part of the day doing the tool thing.

I can sell the Lathe I have and for more then I bought this one for.

Took 25 mins to drive out to get it and 1 1/2 to drive back. We keep pull over to tighten the straps and drove about 5 MPH on the back roads and 45 mph on the highway

Just try to keep all your fingers with this one.

'Morning Bret and everyone.. Don't have much use for woodworking stuff other than what I need to make grips and scales for my metal tools, but I'd love to have a mini machine shop set up here. Maybe, eventually a forge for razors and knives. Metal's more my thing.

Finished my RSES refrigeration course, ditto for WHMIS, could have finished TDG as well, but then I found out that as soon as you switch employers, you gotta retake the course/exam. That's why I just left a single module (out of 10) hanging and I'll finish it once I get signed on

WHMIS = Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System - the way hazardous goods are labeled, conventions, information given by supplier/employer, yadda yadda yadda Required to have the certificate unless you luck out and get into a union shop, in which case, they pay for your course and for your time taking it

TDG = Transportation of Dangerous Goods - Mostly required because we transport compressed gases on a regular basis and if you get pulled over with a tank in your truck and no TDG, it can be a pretty hefty fine. In order to increase government red tape, if you quit working at Frank's shop and start working at Joe's shop, you have to retake the course. That's why I'm keeping just 1 module out of 10 hanging, so I can complete it when I get hired by, for example, Rick (making up names on the fly lol)

There are others that are also useful in getting into a shop, like Fall Arrest (since you usually get it included in Skyjack rental, it's not so critical) and Confined Spaces, but the other 2 are big deal.
