Moonrunner thax for the shout out on our little pontoon boat. Got it in the water before all hell broke lose from storms down here. We use to live in Granbury and just sold our little lake lots last year. But up here in Frognot we got about an inch of rain. We are 3 FEET below normal so we are way behind ! I'll take an inch at a time not to get hail & tornadoes thank you. Stay safe guy's !

'Evening Bret and everyone. ACGC, those are fun especially when mobile. In the old country, there are pontoon houses (rode on a few when they were being moved) dotting the river banks and even got pontoon bars/clubs/restaurants. The old man put one up as a fishing shack for my stepmom. She can dock her boat, can fish right off it if she wants to, go for a dip or even a siesta. I'll see if I can dig up some pics (dad's a major technophobe so digital photography is a bit beyond him).

'Afternoon Bret and everyone.. Took a half-day today, went to do some constructive pavement-pounding.. Wow.. Now that the weather picked up, the attitudes have changed... Instead of sour looks, "we're not looking for anyone" and accepting the resume like a dirty rag, it's all smiles and cards now.. Even had an impromptu pre-interview with a shop that has a lot of pluses in my books

afternoon Bret & all. Glad Andy had fun on field day ! It's good for you to be evolved Bret but I'm sure it can take a toll on you.
Moonrunner we launched it yesterday afternoon and had a blast. We'll put a canopy on it and just put lawn furniture or lounge
chairs plus other things like a cooler and I love to fish every evening so it'll be a hoot this summer ! I would love to see those pic's if
you can find them of your parents pontoon. Well it starting to get warmer and had to run to Carrier to pick up equipment for an install
next Tuesday. Not looking forward to working in an attic but gotta do what we gotta do. Y'all have a good week-end ! I know I'll be fishing.

Afternoon Bret and everyone. Productive day around the yard today. ACGC I just went through the pics that I got from the location but none of them are from my stepmom's shack.. My wife might have some (we'll check) and if not, that might have to wait until the next time i fly over there.

Moonrunner thanks for looking for old pic's of the pontoon. We are starting to plan on the canopy and sitting arrangements but mostly will use lawn chairs for now.

    Afternoon ladies and gentlemen.

Works been busy. Soloed my first compressor in a small micro-chiller. Learned how to weld in a tight spot-if the building occupants aren't yelling because of the smell of burnt armaflex-you're doing it right.

Been a pretty crazy week here. We had 3 people off one day each this week for funerals. It left some tempers pretty short.

Starting to reap the rewards of finally being third year. Just purchased my first used car. Its a 2008 VW City Golf. They were only sold here in Canada for a short period of time. They were a remake of the previous generation of the Golf because the Rabbit that was set to replace the older Golf could not meet emissions or crash test standards here in Canada. So they were offered as an interim solution. Now a lot of them are coming off lease and with Tiff just learning to drive I figured it was time to upgrade to something more reliable. Sort of looks similar to this:

And no, I won't be adding rims or flames or an exhaust system that looks like 4" chrome B-vent LOL. Or before someone says it, I wont be adding a park bench either!

Just getting cleaned up and caught up from a weekend at camp with the family.

Couldn't have scripted better weather. Cool morning on Saturday warmed up to mid-80s with a light, cool breeze. A tiny sprinkle of rain right at dark...

Matthew (the cub with Leukemia) managed to come out about mid-day and got a chauffeured ride around the camp on a golf cart to any thing he wanted to see and to do. They brought Stat MedEvac chopper in and he got to watch it land and take off, got to shoot BB guns and archery, hang out with the Indian Dancers and was "double-fisting" S'mores at the campfire later on in the evening.

His LAST TREATMENT is this Tuesday and after that, they'll put him on a maintenance program. Not sure what that means, exactly, but Mom was sure excited about it and I KNOW that Bret's last treatment was a BIG THING for him, so I'll go out on a limb and hoist a glass for Matthew Tuesday evening.

    little man.

Gotta give their family credit. They've stuck together and the parents are making time for each child (they have 4)

    They're tough folks.

Ya that's good, can't leave anyone out. It's sad how a kid so young could have those issues, I'd rather die then have any of my kids go through that.

Yep. Next weekend is our long weekend.

I'm sure he can use all the help he can get.

Gotta say that he seemed to be in reasonably good health and in good spirits.
