Hey Bret, great news on the 5 yr mark! Dr Berd told me melanoma normally would return before 5yrs as it is usually very aggressive, so you are looking great. I will be 12 yrs clear next Weds. But I still have chest pain from the surgery!
    Take care, Mark

'Morning Bret and everyone. The work could start as early as next week as long as I get a quote soon and the adjuster ok's it. Contractors are in short supply here so I don't expect any issues.

Original site was top of my head. Too many years working outdoors? Full head of hair too. Came back to lungs 4 yrs later. Not sure how many nodes on my left lung. But it was cut up pretty good, lost bout 50%. right lung, maybe two 3-4mm nodes. Surgery 6 months apart. Dr Berd treated me with vaccine he created while at Jefferson University Hosp in Phila. Vaccine was made from the tumor on my left lung after surgery. It was a non-FDA approved vaccine at the time, a clinical trial. I was a lab rat on the tenth floor of a chemistry type of lab at 10th & Walnut in Philly. Dr Berd is nationally known for his treatment for melanoma & ovarian cancer. He was using vaccines before it became common place. He created M-Vax while working with Avax.

Wow to both Lungs Your a VERY Lucky guy to be still be here you really beat the Odds. How are you doing with that much loss of Lung capacity?

Right mid back 3 widening of the Margins and 14 node on Right Arm Pit
Did the 1 year of interferon NASTY (about 1 in 20,000 chance of developing Myasthenia Gravis and I drew that card.

I owe it all to Dr Berd. Great doctor & scientist. Really cares and very down to earth. Type of doctor I can call on his cell phone & shoot the breeze. He's certainly a hero to me and many more.
