Long weekend.
Another scout camp in the books.
Been doing this since 07. Haven't missed a camp with the boys yet.
Friday night was a bit chilly with a low of about 20F, but we've got good gear.
Way to go JP........empty nest here buddy........you'll DEFINITELY miss them after the 'boys' are out on their own......take my word for it.....

I also reached something of an epiphany at camp.
I've always loved the scouting program. I enjoyed it as a youth and am enjoying it a LOT more as an adult.
My youngest will be out of the Cub Scout program in about 18 months (February 14) and in Boy Scouting. I'll remain involved at some level as they continue through Boy Scouting, but adults take a back seat in Boy Scouting as the boys begin to take on larger leadership roles.
After they're in Boy Scouts, I'm going to take the required training to become a rangemaster for Cub Camps.
Then, I'll be able to "give back" a little to the organization that I've gotten so much out of.
That is fantastic JP
I you ever have to look back at what you legacy you can say it will be a good one. 7 yrs of never kiss a scout camp with your boys.
