afternoon Bret & all. hope the test come back okay ! Been busy mowing about 15 acres and my belt broke with about 2 more acres to finish
But I knew I needed new blades so I think this caused allot of my problems. The belts on my tractor cost 140 bucks. Guess mowing with 60 Hp
is to much for the belly mower ! At least the a/c works great in the cab

Yep. The key with mowers (years ago I was a mechanic for a very large landscaping Co) is to keep the blades sharpened. Less load on the powertrain. Are you running multiple B section belts?

The key, I've found, to a well manicured lawn is to not care a bit about it.

    This accomplishes two things.

#1. You really don't care what it looks like, so any time you get the motivation to cut it, it looks great.

#2. Your wife takes over. Lawn looks awesome..

    My history with women includes:

    1) they don't like to drive
    2) they don't like to cook
    3) they don't like to mow the lawn

Fortunately, most had some redeeming qualities. And, I did get Julie to drive her OWN car...

My wife is a freak about driving. I call her a control freak, she says she's a nervous rider. I normally only drive at night since she has trouble seeing.

We both enjoy cooking and lately have come to enjoy it more as we're cooking better food, together.

Mowing the lawn started as a break from the kids about 11 years ago. I don't think I've mowed the lawn more than a handful of times since. I DO, however, get the pleasure of running the push mower around the stumps then trimming all around the stumps, rocks, gardens and everything...

'Evening Bret and everyone. In Toronto, you either cut your lawn or you get reported, the city sends the contractor and he charges his "nominal rate" that you pay for through your property taxes (gotta pay extra for Vaseline) Been growing like crazy this season.

Naaaaa.. The silver spoon up his nether-region is attached to a whole lotta moola, no matter how much he pretends he's "one of us" so he can afford to buy all the crack he wants for the rest of his life At times, it's not such a bad bylaw.. Seen some properties that were really allowed to go to **** and they attract wildlife plus the weeds spread out to well-maintained properties, so hitting the negligent owners in the wallet is a good way to make sure the neighborhood doesn't look like the ghetto.

Afternoon Bret & gang ! My 4720 diesel John Deere is still out of action as you have to unhitch the belly mower from it to get to the blades & belt. It's a one size belt with multi pullies. 7' foot cut. When the blades are sharp they can cut time in half to mow. But I need help with it and I have to wait on hubby. He's my pro with anything like this...but I call the shots
