Hang in there ICE/Bob, things have got to start getting better for you

Just a quick update. Still not smoking, but being challenged. Had to bring hospice in for my mom, could be anytime. End of life cycle, 84 y.o. great lady, lived a good life. Hope and pray that the good Lord takes her home quickly and does'nt let her linger.
I pray that too. Let me tell you a story.

It was only four years ago this week that my mom passed on a Saturday morning, on Dec 9th. She had fallen on her front steps when she and my dad got home early Friday evening the week before, knocking dad down and landing with her head on the road surface. She had a bad head injury, and lapsed into a coma. She was 90.

All week we hoped that this "tough old bird" would surprise everyone and pull out of it, but it was not to be. So, we arranged for her to be moved to a hospice nearby for comfort and hydration. Then, in my mom's typical style, a very private person, she waited until only her nurses were near, and shuffled off her mortal coil. We arrived a couple of hours later after the doc called us.

I considered her relatively quick departure a blessing, because I knew she did not want to be kept alive in a home in a vegetative state, as one of her friends had experienced. So, she left comfortably and quietly. It will be great to see her again someday.

Ice, keep it up. Things HAVE to get better.

    Bret, good luck.

Monkeyman, this is the test. Pass this one and you will be off the smokes forever.

hey all, been busy. (I'll use dougs scale so it sounds colder) was between -14 and -17* C most of the week and finally started warming up yesterday. When it was windy, and snowing, I was on alot of roofs. Made a little dough though, so I cant complain much. Hope everyone is doing better.

Bubz will bet ya on that game. I lived in Vegas and Laughlin for almost 8 years, and don't really gamble.
