basically everything the blue oval built in a 19 series was available in a 17 series.
never saw an open drive D series machine, except the big 17DA's
never saw an E or F open drive neither, neither, nor.

All I know is that they are very old!!!!!!!!!!!!!

most of the other stuff in the equipment room is all open drive and the motors are open or you can see all the windings!
OLD!!!!!!!!!!
oh and they are gray and it looks like they came that way????????
