Last night I was feeling pretty rough, wipe out today

For selfish, personal reasons, I have deliberately avoided this thread. It is so inspiring to read how you are dealing with your cancer and I pray for your recovery.

My personal reasons for avoiding this thread is that cancer has hit my family hard in the past five years. My younger sister passed away at 41 from cancer. A niece had to have a double masectomy after the birth of her first child. She is 26. My mother in law succumbed to lung cancer two years ago and my older sister has been fighting small cell cancer for the past year. I just got the call that she has, at best, a few months left.

My sister has not had your faith and hopeful demeaner. I wish she had and pray she come to terms with her fate. I just wanted to let you know why I was neglegent. Not a very good excuse, but it's all I've got. I will start another thread about my sister now. Thanks for your inspiration during your having to deal with cancer. It helped me better understand my sister's situation.

BUT, I do believe that we will find a cure. Every day we are one step closer.

I'm not so sure we can ever cure our arrogance in thinking we are so intelligent that we can produce products that seem to help us while in fact they wind up killing us in different ways. If we find a cure for cancer, some other blight will crop up to show us how insignificant we truly are.

In the meantime, I hope and pray for a cure for fcs and others who are affected at the moment.

There is a world renown Cancer Research Clinic in Vancouver.....and there has been a number of news show segments done on this week.....and the usually very conservative doctors are saying that they feel they are very close as they are mapping what actually happens inside the cells....then can take precise directive action to redirect those cells to re-align their growth/malignant/abhorrent consequential behaviour. I was thinking of trying to get the full weeks video and posting it........
