Looking good Bret, I still have egg cups I turned when I was over 25 years younger, you did a nice job of finishing it too.

I like the burl wood bowl. That's awesome.
One of these days, I'll get around to buying that lathe.
As I've said before, too many toys and not enough $$$.
Oh well, life is often what is happening while we're not paying attention, so I try to pay as much as I can to those that are most important.
Bret, The Hobbit was a cool movie with an ending that I still don't quite understand. I think that I'll have to load the book up on my Nook and read it to see if I can wrap my head around why Peter Jackson ended it the way that he did.

Funny, I didn't read the Hobbit until I was an adult, and I almost threw it down after reading the first few pages. I decided to read it shortly after the Lord Of The Rings movies were announced. The opening pages of the Hobbit have a distinct "sing-song" feel like a children's book and there was not was I was getting through a few hundred pages of sing-song writing.
I'm glade that I stuck it out. I read the Hobbit and ran straight through all of the LOTR books, then the Silmarillion, The Children of Hurin and the unfinished tales books. Tolkein was an amazing author. One of my all-time favorites, really. At this time, I believe that I've read every word by Tolkein.
