It's easy to forget that you guys actually get Winter there.
I googled Revelstoke, and discovered you don't have sunup until almost 8:00 am, and have less than 8 hours of daylight.
Looks like a rather lonely drive. I'd have lots of survival goods on board, for sure.[Avatar photo from a Florida training accident. Everyone walked away.]

Yup.....first call of the day, you watch your step on the rooftops...you'll either get guillotined by a guy wire or take a header off the roof when you stumble/slip on ice near the roof's edge in the dark.
I was almost killed near Revelstoke on that drive back from Calgary when I went to SAIT 37 years ago.....there's a lake there and if you go off the highway you'll be in it in a second.....
It's a treacherous drive but the kids didn't want to fly.....so the ole man's on pins and needles......they should get the 9am ferry from Tsawwassen Ferry terminal...."The quality you deserve is not expensive---it's priceless"

mourning Bret & all...hope all the trees get whacked down for you Bret. When we had our house built we had no trees around the house and every time the UPS driver say's jeeez how can you live without trees around for shade in this Texas heat. I say well I'm married to an A/C guy and our house is geo thermal and it's nice inside so I planted tree's 20 feet away for shade if needed. Glad I did for nothing like wind blowing limbs on the house. Y'all have a Great Day !

Well #2 and #3 are home and in one piece....phew.....Ferries got docked yesterday because of wind so they got held up till 8pm last night 'till the wind on the Juan de Fuca straights dropped down.....
Took them the same amount of time to drive 700 miles in snow and ice as sail 35 km across to the Island.....
Off late up the mountain to fight with the cougar and the snow......they'll be coming out looking for kitty kats, small dogs and injured fat ole men to eat with all the snow......"The quality you deserve is not expensive---it's priceless"
