Not that we had much winter.

Been working on spring cleaning around here while our 90-something neighbor rode around on his law mower.

Doug, the transducer and chip worked great. I'm back to full strength and then some. Thank you.

Bret, it's awesome that you're teaching Andy about engines. I struggle with them, let alone being able to TEACH it.
At his age dad and I. Had rebuild. A good 1/2 dozen beattel engines.

I would even deliver to you if you want so Andy could actually practice on a real unit.
The coil has a small leak.
    Let me know.

Hey Bret, Art, Frank, Doug, Sparky, JP, Heavy, and all.
Overcast but 68 or so here today. Finished a new construction job yesterday. Due to weather, we didnt do a condenser coil on a rooftop unit today. Will probably with luck do it tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Got to play with a neat thing today.

    It's being called a "Non-compression cascade system"

    Basically, a thermosyphon.

The rack system runs a plate heat exchanger. In the secondary side, there is refrigerant that is condensed by the plate HX, separated through a phase separator. The liquid runs down into the coils (no metering device), boils off.

The vapor rises back up, through the phase separator and back into the plate HX.

All flow in the secondary is natural. No pumps or other means to move fluid.

All in all, a pain in the A$$ because you have to add a little gas and wait for it to react. Slow, painful and tedious, but there are 2 of them running happily away after today.
