Electronic Air Filter Size
I have a 4 ton unit, just curious what size electronic air filter I should be looking at. I am interested in the Honeywell F300e model.
Is a 16x25 to small? Is a 20x25 to big?
Thanks,

The 25 x 16 is rated for a max 1400CFM.
You want the 20 x 25.

Looks like my HVAC guy has a slightly used 16x25 one for a great price....
Is there an downfall to putting in the 16x25 vs the 20x25 for my 4 ton unit?

Won't filter as good as you want.
So it kind of defeats the purpose of having it.

Beenthere,
Just curious, why won't the 16x 25 electronic filter as well? Too much air going through it?
My blower is a 2000 cfm blower, the 16X25 filter allows 1400 cfm, is this a problem? Will this "choke" the system?
Am I getting confused with this system? Will the blower only get 1400 cfm of air to push with the 16x25?
Thanks,

The velocity will be too high, for the filter to be effective.
Like a car that is rated at 30 MPG on the highway.
Thats at a speed of say 65MPH. Drive it at 90MPH, and you'll be lucky to get 18MPG.
