After reading most of the recovery eq. threads, the G5 is the hands down favorite. The 2 others that get good support from multiple users (as well as recommendations from the supply houses) are the Bacharach Stinger and the Promax 5410. There are some very good deals on the older versions of the 5410 (A) and Stinger (2000-3300) vs their upgraded counterparts (5410EX and Stinger 2006-3800). Would I be making a mistake with either of these units if I went with the olders models?

What's the downside to the Stinger given that it does not have a condenser?

    Sorry beachtech

    Thanks,

    George

Check out all the different brands of recovery machines on HVACPRODUCTRATINGS.com. Each brand has a a couple of choices on where to buy them. If there aren't too many reviews there yet it is because the site is new. You can request reviews on products there and hopefully we can get some guys to write them there for you. Give it a try.

People think the G5 is noisy Customers would complain about my Old Stinger being too loud

The only thing that will kill an appion is too short of an extension cord.
you meant too long of an extension cord It already comes with a cord that's too short

I hear the G5 can take full blast liquid from a 3/8" hose

I can't kill mine either but I only give it wide open liquid from a 1/4" hose

I just checked out the Diablo on the reftec.com website, and the ARI specs are much lower than the specs shown at http://www.centurytool.net/Diablo_Hi...t_p/diablo.htm

If you look they also no longer compare the Diablo to the Appion G5.

    Check out the brochure @

    So By the ARI Numbers
    Appion G5 Twin Vs. Diablo
    R-410A Vapor @76 F
    .66 lbs/min Vs .23 lbs/min
    R-22 Vapor @ 76 F
    .62 lbs/min Vs. .37 lbs/min

    R-410A liquid
    3.48 lbs/min Vs. 4.98 lbs/min
    R-22 liquid
    6.22 lbs/min Vs. 4.08 lbs/min

    Appion G5 Twin 24 lbs .......... Diablo 34 lbs
    9.4in x 13.75in. x 10.3in........ 16-in x 10-in x 13-in

If that video was with R-22 like it said the Appion clearly has an advantage by the ARI numbers
so somebody goofed on the testing or somebody cheated on that video

What do you guys think of the YJ XLT 95760? Hard to believe no one even mentions it. Is it that bad?
