I have a Bacharach Stinger and it works great...nothing fancy and easy to use. Best of all it was free, the shop bought it.

i second the stinger ,in fact i have had mine since 2002 and its still going strong..however this thread brings up a good point,i may need a new one not only for speed but to recover 410a .ill check my machines ratings but to this point ive been lucky enough to not have had a 410a that needed full recovery, only a pumpdowns..

I just bought a Promax RG5410EX at johnstone supply. The counter guys said alot contractors buy alot of promax RG5410A, so that's why I went with the Promax EX. He didn't say anything bad about the other recovery machines, he just said that promax sell alot more and been around for a while. I didn't find any negative post and I got a good price.

Promax can recover every type of refrigerant even 410a. It also does subcool for your recovery tank so you don't need to put it on ice
