Sometimes. When a contractor installs a brand they don't install often. They tend to forget, that it may need things done in addition to what they normally do with the other brand.

A little reading should provide them with the info they need to correct things.

BT, you were right!

The contractor's worked for about an hour, then stated they needed another part that they would get Monday.

I printed this thread and showed them. Then handed them back the AHU manual. Amazing the problem a jumper can cause. The buzzing contactor problem is gone, it heat's and cools now, etc )

So Far. When I get back next week are ya gonna help them out with the
IAQ issues that I'm sure will arise? I mentioned the IAQ install next week and the tech stated....."Man, there are a lot of wires coming from 3 different places in this AHU, American Standard is easy and straight forward".

Wiring up the IAQ is not hard at all. There is no excuse for a trained professional to have serious problems with it. The EIM makes the whole thing fantastic for installers.
