BACNet MS/TP Troubleshooting/Testing
Has anyone found a good scan tool or utility for testing/troubleshooting a bacnet mstp trunk? I need something to scan a trunk for JCI bacnet devices as well as others. Thanks

I have found Polarsoft to have good, independent, BACnet utilities for scanning and interpreting a BACnet network. They have a program called BACnet Quick Test that will work on IP, Ethernet, PTP, and MSTP networks. Go to www.polarsoft.biz. If you are looking for something that is not affiliated with any control company and will give you a good third-party answer on a BACnet issue, Polarsoft will help.

Berg2666,
Been following your post regarding your problem with mixed JCI and other mstp bacnet devices... I am facing similar thing, only this is FX16-Bacnet with 3rd party FCU controllers connected to an NAE; both work fine with NAE if the the devices on the ms/tp bus are of same type, the online/offline issue only occurs when FX16's and these 3rd party devices are connected together.
Hope you can give any feedback here if ever you're successful in troubleshooting this comms issue...
Ohh, and I apologize to the OP for the small Hijack...

Hi, Has anyone connected a Carrier XA30 (or similar) chiller Bacnet MS/TP controller to a JCI MS/TP trunk.
I have encountered some interesting problems.
